Belfast Restoration’s Mission is to always provide complete client satisfaction from Planning to Project Completion. Our highly trained and experienced professionals can help you with any replacement/repairs or maintenance asphalt services anywhere in the Toronto and GTA Area.

Roads aren’t meant to last forever and sometimes a complete removal or an asphalt replacement service is necessary. If it is on a parking lot, a service road, or a primary walkway eventually that surface will degrade, from weather changes and sun exposure, and the asphalt surface will begin to wear away. That’s where Belfast Restoration comes in. Our highly trained general construction experts will remove the old surface of the asphalt, inspect the subgrade, and replace the new road with high-quality asphalt.

Conditions That Lead To Asphalt Removal And Replacement

  • Poor Design: Poor design construction services create weak areas within the asphalt surface or subgrade.
    • Rigid and oxidized surface: In these cases, the asphalt surface has lost its flexibility and become rigid as a result of surface water, and other environmental conditions.
  • Malfunctioning or Failure of sub-base: In most cases, asphalt fails as a result of base failure or water incursion. A full-depth removal and replacement of the base subgrade and new asphalt creation are needed.

Full-Depth reclamation or pulverization: A full-depth reclamation or pulverization reclamation or pulverization with cement is a cost-effective stabilizing asphalt service.

Our Asphalt Removal And Replacement Procedure

  1. We first indicate the spots we’re going to remove, and then we use a high-speed saw to completely remove your pavement from those areas.
  2. Using skid steer loaders, we then remove the asphalt from the damaged area. To guarantee a seamless transition at the new asphalt joint, we remove asphalt a little bit beyond the damaged region.
  3. After removing the asphalt, we regraded the granular sub-base material to make it ready for compacting. We carefully check each repair area to make sure there are no mushy spots or insufficient granular bases. Prior to paving, trouble spots are located and remedied.
  4. Depending on the complexity of the operation, repair areas are paved with the NEW asphalt in 2 layers that can be up to 3 inches thick each.
  5. In order to accomplish basic grading and slope that matches the heights of the existing pavement, asphalt is laid in the repair area and roughly raked.
  6. Plate tampers and large rollers are used to condense the surface layer, creating a flat, smooth surface.
